Event Recap:
The first night of the New Japan Soul tour kicked off with intensity as Shota Umino and Yuto Nakashima overcame the dirty tricks of EVIL and Yujiro. Umino looked more focused than ever, scoring a strong win to open the show.
Master Wato’s clash with Francesco Akira was a fast and technical bout. Wato pulled off the victory after a dramatic exchange of near-falls, cementing his momentum going forward.
Tanahashi teamed up with El Desperado for a thrilling tag win against Ren Narita and SHO. Their chemistry was surprisingly smooth, and the crowd erupted for Tanahashi’s signature finish.
In a hard-fought tag bout, Just 5 Guys emerged victorious over the IWGP Jr. Tag champs, Catch 2/2. Taichi landed a fierce Black Mephisto to end things decisively.
The Bullet Club War Dogs reminded everyone why they’re feared in the tag division. With raw aggression and no-nonsense brawling, they overwhelmed YOH and Taguchi.
In the main event, SANADA outlasted a brutal challenge from Gabe Kidd. Despite Kidd’s vicious offense, SANADA stayed composed and landed Deadfall to seal the win and end the night on a high.
