Match Review:
- Mark Briscoe vs. Shane Taylor – ROH World Title
The show closed with an intense world title bout. Shane Taylor controlled the pace with powerful offense, but Mark Briscoe’s heart and fighting spirit helped him mount a comeback. A Jay Driller secured the successful title defense for Briscoe. - Josh Woods vs. Lee Moriarty – Pure Rules
This match was a showcase of pure wrestling brilliance. Clean holds, grappling, and tactical rope break usage made this a technical masterpiece. Josh Woods earned the win via submission, adding another strong victory to his name. - Trish Adora vs. Leyla Hirsch – Contender’s Match
In a hard-fought battle, Adora’s strength gave her the edge against Hirsch’s grappling. After multiple counters, Trish nailed her signature lariat for the win, lining her up for a future title opportunity. - The Infantry vs. The Kingdom
This tag bout offered a good mix of old-school psychology and athleticism. The Kingdom’s tricks couldn’t stop the momentum of The Infantry, who picked up an impressive and much-needed victory. - Dalton Castle vs. JD Drake
Dalton Castle’s theatrics were on full display, but JD Drake brought serious power. After a competitive back-and-forth, Castle pulled out the win with a perfectly timed Bang-A-Rang. - Kyle Fletcher vs. Serpentico – TV Title Match
Fletcher looked dominant in this short but exciting title defense. Serpentico had brief flurries, but a crushing tombstone piledriver ended the match with Fletcher still champion. - Six-Man Tag: Gravity, Christian & Andretti vs. The Righteous
Fast-paced and energetic, this match delivered wild moments from all six men. The high-flying trio overcame The Righteous after Gravity’s high-risk moonsault landed flush.
Final Thoughts:
ROH’s July 31st episode brought something for everyone: title matches, high-level technical bouts, and thrilling tag team encounters. Mark Briscoe remains a fighting champion, and several rising stars delivered standout performances. Another solid entry in Ring of Honor’s 2025 lineup.
